at the weekend to see the ships near. we had also eaten in the sister restaurant the alex in the city. really good ordering system so everything is done before they sit down and then they bring food over. currently cashless, this is not a problem. the breakfast was really good and a lot of it. will definitely be used again. I visited today with my sons 2 and 9, their grandma and great grandma. The staff were sooo brilliant and they have a great menu of homemade and local food. It is extreemly child friendly with colouring and an array of plastic tablewear and childrens...cutlery. They make by far the best latte I have ever had and the ham egg and chips were out of this world. They are friendly and accomodating and the view is fantastic.... View all feedback.
Cannot understand why anyone comes here. Such a disappointment after the other Yeo Restaurants. This place is just an expensive greasy spoon, with very average food. Scampi and fish tasted of absolutely nothing. Chips tasted of oil. Coffee rough. Given a strange cheap plastic bucket with a ‘food number’ on could understand that if you got given cutlery and serviettes in it, but you had to help yourself to them. Realised we had made a big mistake, but blamed ourselves for staying despite seeing menu.
Waterfront cafes are not typically known for being upscale, and towns with docks are often considered rough. However, Point View Cafe in Felixstowe defies expectations. Situated right by the docks, this cafe was a delightful surprise. The coffee from the machine was surprisingly good, and the Cheese Scones were some of the best we've ever had. It's no wonder the place was so busy. Highly recommended. - Hayling Seagoon
Bit of an unusual destination, docks on one side, Fort to visit, beach and leisure area the other side, with the cafe in the middle. Cafe, basic, clean, well maintained, breakfasts excellent good range of snacks and beverages, to a very high standard staff friendly and helpful, hope to visit again this year
Only wanted a coffee, accompanied by my elderly dog, as I had read it was dog friendly but we were only allowed in a lobby area or outside in March! So not what I 'd call dog friendly.
Great place. Been there loads of times and will continue to do so. Service is great. Last visit was spoilt by dog owner that (seemingly) couldn’t understand why the constant barking of one of her two dogs might not be enjoyable or am I unusual in not liking constantly barking dogs? (This was outside).
