Some found the food to be overpriced and not worth the trip. However, others enjoyed the festive decor and tasty food, with excellent service. Despite some shortcomings, many still planned to return due to the overall pleasant experience. The Old English Parlour, despite initial hesitations, left customers pleasantly surprised, with excellent service and delicious seafood options.
The salmon was overcooked and the rice was sticky and bland.
Waited for 20 minutes to be served and theres were only 3 people in the restaurant. Food is great! Service was great once we were served. They really need to lose the dark and dreary wood and the hideous cooper painted ceiling Up date now. A nice putty, white and grey theme with a silver painted ceiling would be fantastic. Currently i feel like im eating in my own coffin.
We were there at 5:30 and our orders came just before 7. Theatre goes in at 8 so no dessert.
Had the crispy chicken sandwich full of sodium and dripping with grease and spices, horrible! Another person in our group had the salmon, the most disgusting presentation, grey with skin on, no flavor or any sense of creativity. Hardly anyone in the restaurant for lunch, didn’t need to make a reservation. Very disappointing, overpriced and not worth the trip.
The chicken Supreme was quite good, but the broccolini was not trimmed as well as I would have liked. I don’t like to leave food on my plate. The Pavlova I had for dessert was outstanding! I would eat here again.
