Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in question seems to have a mix of reviews, with some diners expressing disappointment in the service and food quality, while others rave about the great location, service, and delicious food. The negative reviews mention bad service, unimpressive dishes, and the absence of favorite menu items. On the other hand, positive reviewers highlight the charming atmosphere, excellent wine list, and the top-notch seafood dishes. Overall, the consensus seems to be that while there are some issues with consistency, the restaurant's seafood offerings and overall dining experience receive high praise from many patrons.
We celebrated a birthday dinner tonight and one of our favorite places in the city. fresh raw pei oysters are always wonderful and my wife has a scalopp special with risotto. the seafood paella is one of my enticing and I love it. For...the cream brûlée isn't better
The fishbone bistro is a jewel. great city quality on the stouffville main street. excellent Portuguese inspired food, skillfully prepared. an excellent wine card. friendly staff and a pleasant decor. all combine for a great experience. highly recommended.
We had plans to visit fishbone’s mustelmans lake after we had heard great reviews from a friend. this place is closed after working day so that we visited the next. we had no reservation, but found a place without much waiting, although the restaurant relatiw was full. every dish from the crabcake to the grilled otopus to the deep-fried atlantic snapper was delicious. so good quality brot also. service was very good. we were too full to order dessert, but plan to visit their other places in the future.
I live in stouffville and have come to fishbone for years. always my favourite place for a nice dinner and I'm never disappointed. When I walk through the door, I always feel like I have been taken to a fine restaurant in Toronto/NYC/London....bar to believe that I am too foot to my home. my faves are the coconut piri piri mustels, scallops, fried brussels sprouts, icelandic Cod....wait...everything is my favorite. the owner had a lot of success in recent years and has expanded to aurora, lake simcoe and soon Californians, but the quality and experience in the original bistro has not changed.
We have wanted to try Fishbone for years and got a chance last night. The Bistro is small so reservations are a must. The service is very good and the food is excellent. I had the seafood pasta and my wife had the Octopus which...she raved over. I know that many establishments limit their offerings so they can do a good job on what they feature. Fishbone had about 7 features and one was chicken and the other was steak, which leaves very few seafood features. There are nightly specials which adds to the selection. I chose the Crab Linguine as a default because I could not get excited about the other alternatives. It is a great experience and my wife wants to try it again.
