Country House - Stony Brook

Great place! very cozy. my server was so friendly and helpful. I went there to celebrate my graduation and he went out his way to do this. Man. he was bald with facial hair. Drink him well!

For years, we have made the Country House a Christmas festival. We usually have between 12 and 15 in our party. This place NIE disappoints. The holiday menu is limited, but there is no need in any way. I have everything on it, I still can't choose a favorite. This year I had to start the Abominable Snowman Salat. My duck was the crispy and delicious half a French Duck. Ce Va? I want to say the best I ever had, but I've already eaten here. Maybe the last time was better, but the country house is the place to celebrate holidays. Maybe you just come after dinner. Cheers.

We're here with another couple for dinner. The atmosphere was very nice, the waitress could not be more attentive, although she had all the tables served in the restaurant. My wife and I had the duck and our friends had the chicken Cordon Bleu. We thought the menu had been a bit more extensive. Are the meals all right, my wife and I shared the rice pudding that had shaved coconut in it, that was very different. I have to say I wouldn't go back here for another meal. When the check came thanks to goodness we had a $100 gift certificate It made it much more reasonable.

The Country House is one of the most beautiful enchanting restaurants on Long Island!!The owner Bob Willemstyn truly knows how to make you feel like you are the most important guest to ever walk thru the door!! The moment you walk in you know this is going to be a very special experience!! The attention to detail is very apparent with the decor matching the season.Halloween was definitely in the air with All the twinkling lights characters lurking every where!! We enjoyed the most delicious meal with dear friends celebrating their 12th AnniversaryTheir first date was the Country House! I had the Ahi tuna..out of this world delicious! My husband had the short ribs fall off the bone tender! Other members of our party had the Crispy duck,Grilled Salmon with crabmeat crab cakes all cooked to perfection! The beauty of this upscale restaurant is you can have a high end meal or enjoy a delicious burger in an incredible atmosphere!! Our waiter Zach was exceptional!! Took such good care of us!! If you haven't been to the Country House it's a must!! You will not be disappointed!!

My wife and I had a very pleasant evening here. The restaurant atmosphere was very relaxing and restaurants in a historic home made it special. The staff was helpful and very nice. We had the shrimp cocktail, which was very fresh and large. I had the roasted duck, which was very delicious and very well prepared. I highly recommend coming here for a nice romantic dinner.
