However, many customers praised the restaurant for its friendly service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The restaurant seems to have a loyal customer base, with some diners returning for over 20 years. Highlights included the ravioli lunch, buffet-style Christmas party dinners, and the gnocchi with bolognese sauce, which one customer described as the best they ever had. Overall, Barbara Caffe appears to have a dedicated following despite some occasional shortcomings.
This is our favourite restaurant and I went here with a girlfriend for lunch. We each had their ravioli lunch, hers with a tomato based sauce and me with alfredo sauce. I last ate this lunch a few years ago and it was just as delicious as I remembered it to be.
Wonderful romantic restaurant. Food from appetizers to entrees and desserts are divine. Service attentive, helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back with family.
30 for Seafood linguini. tasteless linguini and 5 small clams, 2 of which smelled like sewage and one tiny morsel of fish... Don't expect any actual seafood
We had a fabulous evening for our Christmas party with 24 friends at Barbara Cafe. We had a buffet style dinner that was delicious with an abundance of options from antipasto, pasta, meats, pizza and sides. There was a lot of food and they made sure to keep checking on us and replenishing. Everything tasted great! From when we sat down and organized the party to the actual event the staff at Barbara Cafe went above and beyond for us and we had a great evening! Highly recommend for dinner or for your next party.
A group of 42 cyclists went to this restaurant for their Christmas dinner and were served family style. Unfortunately, only the first group of people were able to eat, leaving the rest hungry. I paid $260 for 4 people, which comes out to $65 per person. Additionally, my son-in-law spent $40 on beer and root beer, bringing the total to $300. The portion sizes were very small and when platters were emptied, they were not refilled, leaving some people with nothing to eat. After leaving the restaurant, my family ended up stopping at Subway because three of us were still hungry. Before purchasing tickets for New Year's, be aware of this restaurant's portion sizes and lack of refills.
