The fish and chips were the best we've ever had! It was such a delightful surprise. The atmosphere had a fun diner vibe, and the staff, especially Jinane the waitress/cook/manager, were fantastic (apologies for not mentioning her earlier!). What User doesn't like about Just Barb's:
I've been dining at this restaurant for the past 57 years, and my recent experience two weeks ago was disappointing. The clams were overcooked, leaving them dry and crispy—definitely not what you want from clams! The fries were great, but I really expect more from the clams. I love my clams to be tender and juicy, with a nice flavor. It was a letdown this time. View all feedback.
Was there on a recent vacation and enjoyed several meals there. Service and food was excellent.

YOU MUST EAT HERE Undoubtedly the best meal ever. Shrimp extremely tasty tender. Onion rings to die for. Batter was light not greasy. And the blueberry pie!! Loaded with fresh blueberries with perfect amount of sweetness. The crust was light flaky. Never had better. Can't wait to return.
First off the food was excellent; we expected prime rib but by the time we got seated and waited on, it was no longer available. Prime rib starts at 5 we arrived at 5:45. So we opted for scallop plates. The wait staff was completely stressed out, and overall it was chaotic inside as they had two big parties at tables outside too and people waiting for both take out and seats in a tiny space. I found out if you knew to call for the prime rib they'd save it for you when you arrived at a table, or you could pick it up for take out. Those who got prime rib said it was excellent. The staff couldn't have been nicer; but it was a learning curve for these vacationers...
We live pretty close to Just Barbs. The burgers are excellent! The Prime Rib Friday is great as well. The portions are good, you will not leave hungry! We have always received friendly service . Atmosphere is casual.
