What Samantha Knight doesn't like about Tusk Heaton Moor:
Went on a Sat night for dinner with friends. The music was very loud and not really dining friendly, it was hard to hear each other. When the DJ came in the music improved and was clear the aim was for a bar feel rather than restaurant. Food was lovely. View all feedback. What Ian Cox likes about Tusk Heaton Moor:
Brunch aside, which is usually quite good (like the coffee in Tusk! The food here is usually average. BUT service was very courteous and friendly, cocktails were great, and the Sharing Board is a safe option for sociable food with friends if you want to sit somewhere and pick up for an evening on the bog for a few hours. read moreOverall, the restaurant offers a pleasant experience with nice decor and good choices for brunch. However, there were some concerning issues raised by customers, such as food being served by a person with blood on his hands, lack of gluten-free options despite what the website advertised, and running out of essential items like gin and bearnaise sauce. The service was also criticized for being disorganized and slow. Despite these shortcomings, the service was noted to be courteous and friendly, with great cocktails and a sociable Sharing Board option. While the food quality was described as average, the restaurant is still considered a decent option for those looking for basic fare with attention to nutritional requirements like gluten-free options. Overall, a mixed bag of reviews that point to areas of improvement for the restaurant.
