Authentic Vietnamese Pho House

Weak food, friendly staff, clean restaurant. That's this place in a nutshell. Vietnamese food is full of flavour and exciting your palate with every bite...not here though. Appetizer: The spring rolls were greasy and for some reason had mushrooms inside the filling. They also lacked the usual lettuce and mint to wrap them only a single piece of lettuce with a couple of strands of red cabbage and carrot as plate decoration. The dipping sauce was also very bland, missing the usual bright punch. The rice paper rolls were good size but unfortunately that was the highlight as they lacked the falvourful fillings normally found within and the peanut sauce was not recognized as a peanut sauce except for the couple of chunks of peanut sprinkled on top. Main: Beef and meatball pho was again shallow in flavour with a slick of oil on top of the broth and the beef was 60/40 fat/meat. overall a real letdown and we didn't finish it. Chicken and chinese sausage fried rice was good portion and lots of ingredients but the rice was WAY over cooked and falling apart, the chinese sausage was precooked and burnt on one side, and the only flavour you could taste was a little soy sauce. Bland bland bland. Beef stirfry with rice noodles was plentiful and lots of fresh ingredients. Overall the best thing we ate and even this was brought down by a big puddle of watery bland sauce the dish was floating in. Friendly staff. and a clean place but if you are looking for good vietnamese food with big bright flavours and the experience you would expect find some other place...it's only bland salty food.

First timers but not the last... We loved our phos, the broth is simply delicious, flavourful and fragrant. For me the brisket option is inspired. The service is amazingly friendly. We'll be back!

I’ve used this restaurant at least a half dozen times and each time found it great. I’ve had different food on each visit and no dishes have disappointed. The restaurant is clean, not cramped and very friendly. The servers are all efficient and willing to help with food selection if the menu appears overwhelming, there is so much choice. Flavours are varied and in my opinion the Pad Thai takes some beating.

New, clean restaurant, friendly, knowledgable staff and very good food. Parking is at the door. Try it you will like it.

I usually travel to Chinatown to get Phò. Found this place near my house and tried it. Great Pho. Great selection. Been back several times and so much closer if you live in Kanata. They serve alcohol as well which many in Chinatown don’t.
