Some encountered issues with incorrect orders and cold meals, but overall the service was efficient with reasonable prices. The welcoming environment and attentive service from staff members like Blair, Luke, and Scott left a positive impression on customers. Despite occasional mishaps, the restaurant seems to be a popular choice for many, offering a warm and welcoming experience for diners.
Eating was okay, but not special. for a Scottish spot called breweries fayre, beer selection was mouthsome too poor. the hotel was good. personal very courteous.
Top place. good food to good trips. large selection of children's dishes to keep the young happy, good choices for the adult, free wlan and friendly staff.
This place gets a fifth start just because he had the best look at the william wallace monument and the dying castle for a man on a pilgrimage to pay.
Potato dippers starter was amazing but unfortunately the mushrooms and goujons were overcooked. The smothered chicken was really dry, overcooked, the mozzarella was crispy with no sign of BBQ sauce and the bacon was basically incinerated. Came with a very soggy salad. Lasagne had minimal beef with lots of overcooked pasta with burnt edges and chips were again, overcooked. Fish was nice but the bread was quite stale and hard. The whole meal we had was dry and overcooked. Perhaps left on hotplate way too long. Shame, as the flavours were nice and the staff and atmosphere were lovely.
Had the mixed grill, steak was full of grizzle, fried eggs were hard, everything from the grill had chunks of black bits, chips were ok. Service was slow and minimal so no chance to complain quietly. Lots of empty tables on a valentines night tells me the locals know its not great
