Was Kael K at 96 Winery Road a mag?
More than 20 years of consistent quality. That is rare in South Africa. The winery 96 is an icon of good hospitality and consistent quality. Especially the last weeks before all the swallows came again, the quieter days were the pleasant days. Now it should become much livelier again until the end of the season. But it's still nice. The prices at this restaurant are outrageous given the limited food options available. The desserts are excessively pricey, and starters cost over R100. What a nice restaurant! Not a standard menu, but honest delicious food. Nice bread (also homemade bread for sale). Staff is excellent, so is the atmosphere. Had a great bobotie, special bacon/blue cheese tart. Great view, nice tent outside. We’ll definitely come back! Food: 5 Service: 5

Had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the food, but the restaurant only opened at 08:30 for breakfast. Was on a short business trip and spent one night there, and while for visitors on holiday breakfast from 08:30 may be totally acceptable, for business folk, seeing clients or catching a morning flight meant that 'Bed Breakfast ' became ' Bed catching a snack elsewhere '.
