Chile Peppers Island Cantina

We frequent chili peppers and also my whole family. We love the staff and the owner is an extremely hard working woman who only uses the best and freshest ingredients. Our favorite is the Cecina con enchiladas. Margaritas are amazing and not filled with mix like most Mexican places on the island. We are customers forever!

I just had the worst dining experience of my life. I came here with my family on vacation. I ordered the soft taco meal with grilled chicken instead of shredded chicken. The ?chef? came out and verbally attacked me in front of my family and the restaurant. She said that I was changing her menu and if it came out and I didn?t like it I would have to pay. I had no problem with that because it was what I wanted. I will never eat here again. The chef had no business coming out yelling at me as a paying customer. She was all over our table yelling. She was rude and that?s no way to treat a customer. Once she realized she was wrong and I was not changing her menu because I simply wanted to substitute grilled chicken for shredded chicken; She didn?t apologize. She made a huge scene. The waiter even apologized for her behavior. I will never eat here again and I will deter everyone I know from this place because of your rude chef!

I 've literally never been so insulted. the owner told me I ordered the wrong thing when I asked the waitress why my cheese enchiladas contained no cheese. I was told by adding beef the enchiladas would contain no cheese. I said I didn 't know that and asked if I could please just have cheese enchiladas then. she asked if I had ate the food I said no I cut into them and found no cheese and immediately told the waitress. she said I would have to pay for new enchiladas and I said then I would just eat what I was given. the owner came to the table ,and by the end of the conversation she called my date and myself trash and threatened to call the police AFTER WE PAID FULL PRICE FOR THE FOOD!!!. All because I asked for cheese in my CHEESE ENCHILADAS. CUSTOMER LOST. I 've never been treated like this in a public place and my date was in tears after being called trash AT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT SHE HAS EATEN AT 10 TIMES BEFORE AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. I 've never even written a review before but this woman went over board calling us trash .

Got delivery. These two small condiment containers of pico and guacamole were $11. Not at all worth it. The rest of the food was pretty good. But these ?appetizers? are a joke.

On June 17th I ordered through doordash for me and my wife, we was so excited because we heard great things about this place so we gave it a try, once I got our order we was not too happy especially after spending over $50.00. It had no taste at all! And we ordered the Carne Asada Taco?s Dinner for two people? Not impressed
