Rustler's Country Grill - St. John's

The atmosphere is fine, the staff that I dealt with were cheerful and friendly. The waffles though had clearly been frozen or made previously and just reheated. The outsides of the waffle were so hard, that one of the quarters went flying off my plate when I attempted to cut it into bite size pieces. I wouldn't go back until the food improves.

Friendly service, good selection for breakfast, it was quick and delicious. Fair priced and would recommend for cheap and good eating!

On several occasions I have dined in this Restaurant, I have also had take out many times. and the food and service is wonderful. I would most certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone .

Went in for the first time since i moved away about 2 years ago. Sadly to say it is not the restaurant i remembered. The service was cold and rude. No polite banter or chit chat you normally take for granted at good restaurants. My meal was all frozen pre packaged or processed items reheated and thrown on a plate. The "stuff chicken breast" was the stuffed chicken roll you buy no frills. The vegetables were the same frozen ones i have in my freezer. Canned gravyAnd instant mashed potatoes with those imitation bacon pieces in it. The waitress slapped my drink and my gravy on the table so quickly and forcefully that they spilled over. And as my wife was paying the staff were at the counter Taking the payment while making rude comments about my autistic son i had taken to the car. I am so furious i am putting reviews on every site i can find to warn people about this so called "family" restaurant. Also to be noted: i have read other reviews on Facebook, apparently mine isn't the first family the staff have made rude comments about while paying at the counter. Its a disgrace that the doors are still open when there are other businesses that deserve to be in that location

So overall I will return. I asked if the sausage was fried on the grill, was informed they are deep fried, but I had them fried on the grill at my request. Food was made to order, server was efficient and friendly. Potatoes were frozen, but it seems to be the way in Newfoundland now. By all means average, nothing to jump out at you.
