Smitty's - St. Catharines

I visit this Family owned business on a regular basis,The food and staff are wonderful and I highly recommend this for everyone

The Manager (Leo) was super rude to us after we refused his special drinks he wanted us to order, as I have allergies to grain alcohol. Then we asked if they had boneless chicken wings and he said we should just go to Boston Pizza......So we ordered something different and mins later says he doesnt have that. So then we ordered something else and he also said he didnt have that. Then I said ok, we will go eat elsewhere if you are out of so many items, and he K FINE SEE YA THEN!!! It was so unprofessional on his part. Super rude, will not return if that Manager still works there. We are local and have never been treated that bad there in our lives. Not to mention he wasn't wearing a mask nor gloves, during a pandemic and there were no distancing measures put into place on tables. We saw no preemptive cleaning or procedures in place.

Breakfast came out hot and fast. Service was attentive and quick. Coffee cups were never empty. I'm not sure if there's a senior's menu but the year old in our party had no chance of eating all that French toast.

Great food, lots of choices. I liked the smorg while my wife chose from the menu. Both are great. I found the atmosphere quite pleasant and the service was exceptional. I recommend this place for breakfast.

I had dinner in the lounge at Smitty's. I ordered the New York Steak With Mashed Potatoes And Steamed Veggies as my sides. The steak tasted pretty good for a restaurant like Smitty's. I was pretty surprised. The cut of meat was good and it...had decent flavour. It was on the thin side, but it was still charbroiled very close to the "medium" I ordered. The mashed potatoes were ok with the gravy and the vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) were soggy and lacked any flavour. Service was good and relatively fast, considering how busy the lounge was.
