MacBouch Restaurant and Lounge

Stopped in at this tavern for supper with my husband and ordered the strip loin steak medium rare! It was cooked to perfection and delicious! The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. I would certainly recommend this restaurant!!!

Often people/tourists look at. building and see the words bar or tavern and pause thinking it may not be the place to go, but the "Macbouch" is the place to go. It's not fancy but who cares . It's the atmosphere of all the guests and the food that makes it worthwhile .Yup, some nights are packed and some are not. So what ? And if you are after breakfast , well then this IS the spot .Big plates of good down home food for reasonable prices . They don't like credit cards but like cash or debit and have their ATM .Their deck is great as you can wave to every one !!!

Many options at this Tavern seafood is great gravy is good, burgers yummy. Even the Pizza is very good. Don't expect fine dining or a fancy atmosphere. It is cozy and lots of places to sit and sometime even entertainment from time to time. All staff are friendly and attentive. Usually the wait is not long. Easy to find in town and a fair amt of parking for all .

Coming from Alberta I ALWAYS make it a point to stop here for their "MacBouch Double-burger platter". Amazing every time! Really nice little community with lots of soul.FYI, the pics shown are NOT of anywhere in Nova Scotia as you can see by the phone numbers on the businesses in the background. Excellent food and service for a great price. Fish is excellent, and try to swing by on a wing night because they have amazing wings.
