Contribute Feedback What Brenden Grace likes about Safeway The Grange:
Not always the freshest, and virtually never the best pricing. That being said, close to home, convenient, and friendly staff bring my opinion and rating up. Edit: the freshness of the fresh produce seems to have gone up in general at this location. The staff are still friendly and helpful throughout. View all feedback.
What JONATHAN ALBINO ROCHA doesn't like about Safeway The Grange:
Probably some of the most unfriendly grocery store staff that I have ever met in the entire world. Clearly management is lacking at this store to allow employees to treat customers so poorly. Since Sobey's took over Safeway things have progressively gotten worse and worse. View all feedback.
Found my items, in there clean and tidy and organized store in record time
So I have 2 main issues here: One, is the multiple packages of deli meat sitting in the cooler that are brown and slimy looking. Gross. Why is this not been taken off the shelf.??? (The deli meats pictured are packs of old gross grey-is meat next to what a new pack should look like: Red. My second issue: The chilies at Safeway. The package shown is $4.99 per 50 gram pack. That makes them $100/kg. (This is more expensive than tenderloin steaks, and more expensive than most Alaska King Crab and more expensive per KG than anything else in the store. The other picture is of the green chilis that are $5.49/lb (or just over $12/kg at Freshco, a sister grocery store to Safeway down the street. I get Freshco is a discount store. But Safeway is beyond price gouging. $100/ KG at Safeway VS $12/KG Freshco. The difference is shocking. The product is exactly the same. Shame on you Safeway for trying to rip people off. Unbelievable!
I really like this store it feels as though all the staff and customers are very chill.
So I was shopping here today the manager went up to the cashier and said hey, congrats on all the positive “ good jobs “ from customers today. It was the bald manager , nice looking put together guy and I just thought it was so kind. It made a difference in that young cashiers day: that’s the type of leadership that grows good young men in the work force. Instilling confidence, i appreciated it.
