I will definitely return to this restaurant. The appetizer and both of our meals were delicious. The service was excellent too. I can't wait to sit on the patio when the weather gets warmer. Thank you for a wonderful experience. View all feedback.
What Kimmie V doesn't like about Browne's Boomtown Bistro:
Very disappointed in our experience. People who sat down after our table was served, ate, paid and left before our food arrived. Pretty sure they dropped our food and it took almost another 45 minutes. I was hoping the food was worth the wait. Unsalted gravy' over cooked biscuits, scramble was less than desirable. This one is a hard pass for me on any future visits. No apologies for the wait which is fine. Won't be b... View all feedback.
On a Thursday night, my dining experience was disappointing as both dishes we ordered were subpar. The Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp had an overwhelming amount of sauce, making it difficult to even see the pasta. The menu indicated a pesto sauce, but it arrived with a creamy pink sauce instead. The Brisket Sandwich was dry, had an acidic taste, and lacked presentation. It appeared as though the cook may have had an off night, as the meals seemed hastily prepared and lacked attention to detail. Additionally, the waiter seemed disinterested and did not provide attentive service throughout the meal.
I want to give this place five stars, but there are only a few things. First, the menu needs a thorough correction reading, there are flaws and some of the elements are strangely organized and a menu item called 'Atlantic King Salmon ' (ahem). The dining room is the really cozy living areas of an old house -- real nice but small. Patio areas looked nice, but it was too hot to go with the misters. We ordered drinks that were delicious and I noticed that Bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers were available so I ordered one and and the avocado hummus. The hummus was mild and had a beautiful presentation with cut grape tomatoes and cucumbers with wonderfully grilled crostini; really good. The poppers came sizzling, but apparently were frozen and cold in the middle. The table next to us also ordered them; so I took it on me to warn the waiter, but this communication apparently did not reach the cook as the other guests made the same complaint. Weird that you don't try to see if you could fix it or at least say you were out. My wife ordered angel hair pasta with artichokes, a dish I would normally expect to dress slightly with a lemon vinaigrette, but this dish was sown with a cream base. Nevertheless, it was really tasteful. Our waiter, a charming guy from the south, recommended the salmon, and although I would not normally trust a restaurant that didn't know the difference between Atlantic salmon and king, I decided to give him an attempt anyway. Due to the size of the section, the thickness of the fillet and the thickness of the flakes, this was clear Atlantic. It came with a beautiful blueberry compot that balances the fish quite well and grilled veggies that were excellent, with the exception of the badly trimmed asparagus, and a rather tasty risotto. Fish was overcooked what I guess would not have surprised me. Overall, it is a pretty small place with great potential, but they could go through this menu with a professional consultation, or at least someone who can spell.
Hidden jewel in Spokane. Great food all day long, good beer selection, great cocktails. Weekday Brunch is also a nice option.
I recently hosted a bridal brunch for my niece at Brownes Bistro and had an amazing experience! The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and the food was absolutely delicious. Terri, our server, was very accommodating and made sure all of our needs were met. I highly recommend Brownes Bistro for hosting events or simply enjoying a delicious meal. I will definitely be returning in the future.
My husband and I absolutely adore this restaurant. We recently held our wedding at Robert's Mansion and had Brownes Bistro cater the reception. The food was flawless and delectable. We also organized a lunch for our out-of-town guests the day before the wedding, and despite having a group of 25 people, all of our requests were accommodated. The food was fantastic - they did an amazing job.
