However, another recent visitor praised the food quality and friendly service at the same restaurant. Despite some mixed reviews, it seems that the delicious food options and attentive waiting staff are the standout features of this establishment. Overall, while some customers experienced less than ideal service, the opportunity to enjoy well-cooked meals in a friendly atmosphere is certainly there for those willing to give it a try.
Unpleasant bar staff and unhappy customers. Not welcoming and definitely not suitable for families, would not recommend. The place is small and gloomy. Rating: Service 1, Atmosphere 1.
I first started coming to this restaurant when I was 15 years old! It's still one of my favorite places more than 40 years later. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 4 out of 5.
Rude, unhelpful, unfriendly staff. They weren't able to look away from their phones to even acknowledge my presence. While in the ladies' toilet, a man came out of the other cubicle. Most concerning. We drank up and left. Won't be going back. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
There aren’t many pubs to choose from in Sunbury age, but this is definitely not the best. Having waited at the bar for ages the (presumed) landlord said he’d be with us in a minute and then walked off. The two ladies behind the bar then served regulars who literally came to the bar ahead of us. It was all very hostile and the staff were pretty rude. Avoid popping in unless you’re a local! The pub itself is pretty grotty and a bottle of beer and a basic spirit and mixer came to over £10. This might be palatable for one of the riverside pubs, but for this joint it felt like a rip off. Don’t bother with this place. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
Lovely little pub, the beer garden is so welcoming and intimate
