Mullinax's - Spartanburg

EXTREMELY NICE AND CLEAN FAMILY RESTAURANT MORE LIKE A FAMILY DINER! THE SERVICE, STAFF AND OWNERS ARE EXCELLENT IN THEIR TREATMENT OF THEIR CUSTOMERS! I HAVE BEEN COMING TO MULLINAX'S FOR MOST OF MY 54 YEARS OF LIFE AND I STILL LOVE IT!! :

First time in the restaurant! Quickly greeted. Made to feel welcome (even though I am a Northerner! Questions were answered politely. Prices were wonderfully reasonable, my BLT sandwich was prepared with crunchy lettuce,crispy bacon. The tomato was not so tasty. (Possibly commercially grown . I definitely will be back ASAP! And the restaurant was very clean!

The people were extremely friendly. It is a good old country place with Homestyle Cooking. I had the country fried steak. It was fairly thin, bit overdone and dry. Deep fried okra was really good as well as the sweet tea. The rice was okay, but a bit too much gravy.

Pretty good. My chuck wagon steak was done but I like mine crispy. I have had better but I have had worse. The homemade gravy was very good. Chef salad was good.

I just finished my lunch here and had the cheeseburger, which was amazing! The burger was handmade and it tasted fantastic! The fries were good, although they were a bit too thick for my liking. The slaw and fries were also excellent. Overall, I was very satisfied with my first visit and would love to come back! The service was friendly, which is always a nice touch.
