The Brickworks Centre - Southport

Brickworks is well worth the short drive from the GC strip. A high standard of food and presentation that is uncommon on the GC. Friendly service and quality food that you would expect in Inner Sydney or Melbourne. Interesting mix of non food retail as well. If I lived here, I would be a regular customer at Brickworks.

If you're looking to purchase gourmet items, this is the place to go. They offer products that you won't find in your typical store, but be prepared to pay a premium. For example, a dozen oysters cost $22.

A superb baker- butcher- Deli- vegetable and fruit shop- coffee shop- tea shop- and a reasonable bistro completes picture here. If you want better produce you find it here. More expensive of course but worth it.

Great butcher with the finest steak and quality sausages - best coffee on the coast at Merlo - yummy corn bread and creme brûlée at the bakery - tasty treats in the deli... you pay more but it lasts longer and is exceptional quality. Busy on weekends but worth a trip if you're having a BBQ or special dinner and want to entertain.

If you are in the Gold Coast this place is worth a visit. They have great food shops and sit down restaurants. A few shops here to carter for everyone.
