This is a very traditional pub, complete with a billiard table and dartboard, conveniently located between Lord Street and Marine Drive. It’s a welcoming spot for both locals and their dogs. The new owners have brought a fresh touch to the decor. The food is homemade, looks appealing, and the portions are generous. All the prices are very reasonable for what you get. View all feedback.

The food was absolutely amazing; I highly recommend the halloumi salad for starters! The Sunday afternoon setting was lovely, and the portion sizes were generous. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and they even served homemade Yorkshire puddings! Everything was hot, fresh, and more than enough for all of us. The staff went above and beyond to be friendly, and the band played exceptionally well. A big thank you to Neil, Tom, and the entire staff for a warm and welcoming evening. As a bonus, the pub was dog-friendly, and the open fire was a wonderful addition to warm up after a chilly walk on the beach!
The food is delicious, the staff is lovely, and the interior is both spacious and cozy, complete with a wood-burning fireplace. There's also a large outdoor terrace perfect for sunny summer days. They often feature great live music, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommended!
Beautiful local pub with friendly staff. many choice of drinks including real ales and very inexpensive delicious home cooked food. cozy little pub with a beautiful atmosphere. neil and tom make a fantastic job while running the windmill, keep the good work. I and Andy look forward to lunch.
Booked in for Sunday lunch for 4 of us and glad we booked because it was very busy. We were advised of the wait time on ordering as it was busy but it came well within that time. Staff were friendly helpful, the food was fantastic (veg cooked to perfection extra gravyboat) and a great range of cask ales too, all was very reasonably priced. Think we've found our new Sunday lunch spot
