What Damien Mason doesn't like about The Amina Tandoori:
This is quirky venue. It has a great atmosphere but is in need of renovation and a rethink on prices. Currently the food is very very limited on the plus side they are purely vegan so if that's your thing then that's great. They have some fantastic live bands that play regularly. It just needs a tidy up View all feedback.
Doesn't think there were any hidden gems related to Essex food, but the Railway Hotel in Southend has proven me absolutely wrong! My friend and I often visit for tattoo appointments and shopping from Brentwood and now regularly make a stop here. The most surprising aspect was not the delicious taste OR reasonable prices. It was the enormously humble, welcoming service and the immense selection of courts that win for me. This establishment is a vegan paradise, but meat eaters feel welcome!

I love this place. The food is so good and it always has a great atmosphere. Vegan and not vegan will love it!
Large selection of vegan food on the menu with some beautiful craft beers to go. The pizza, best in town for less than a tenner staff, would like to inform, recommend menu items. A really cool musical mood in here. It's like a hip-london pub, into a city that needs some information about what people want. The vodka revolution has just opened... Come with Southend, that's not 2003. The bartender was also more than happy to jump on the bar to get a great photo of our band this day. We're coming back!
Great old pub with loads of character, nice outdoor space, often have live gigs. Proper pub.
