Ruchi - Southend-on-Sea

My favorite Indian restaurant. I've been using this place for years. Staff are so friendly and polite, they cannot do enough for you. And the food is amazing. I had food and food and I can honestly say I never had occasion to complain. Would recommend.

I used to go to Ruchi regularly, especially during lockdown. The food was always excellent until today, February 9, 2021. I ordered a dry vegetable curry (niramish) but received a wet vegetable curry that was only 3/4 full and consisted of just a bit of potato and some onion. It was not good enough for me. I will be looking for another restaurant to go to instead.

I have eaten here several times in the last few months and the food was always delicious. It was quiet at the time I was, but I tend to eat dinner earlier than most. Still surprised, with such good food at reasonable prices and the staff could not be more helpful. I'm definitely back.

We decided to go for a meal, just to find our usual Indian was closed and decided to go to Southchurch Road to see what else to eat and find that Ruchi was open We were a little insecure since it was completely empty at that time, but decided if we were not going, we would never know and I am so glad we did. They suggested that we saved our own drinks (spa next door was practical), which saved us money on our bill, but ultimately the food was absolutely stunning, along with the perfect service with really beautiful staff, attentive, helpful and the food was the best we had for a long time. Definately will go back and now becomes the preferred Indian restaurant we are going. Very recommended. Thank you.

First time order. Ordered a takeaway on a Tuesday evening. Order was ready for pick up in 20 minutes. Food was super tasty, had the Nawabi Murgh (highly recommended! , a huge chicken breast filled with lamb meat. Will definitely re-order from Ruchi.
