Pizza Hut - Southend-on-Sea

I ordered a takeaway pizza and picked it up. I noticed that it was dirty and smelled of old oil. The pizza was also very greasy. I decided to eat it anyway because it looked good. However, seven hours later, I spent the entire night vomiting and had to take the next day off from work because I was still sick. I will never return to that restaurant again.

I have never been a fan of Pizza Hut, and after years of avoiding it, I decided to try it again instead of my usual chain. I was let down by the experience. It's no surprise that they are struggling financially, as the quality of the pizza was poor - it was barely warm, if not cold. The staff were friendly, but it's likely not their fault that the food is subpar.

I ordered 1 small and 2 medium pizzas, but received 1 medium and 2 small pizzas instead. When I called to complain, the manager accused me of lying and claimed they do not make small pan pizzas, despite me seeing 6-slice small pizzas that were smaller than the medium ones I received.

I've had home deliveries from Pizza Hut for many years....usually when my children are back from university!!! I always have the same pizza meat feast with a classic crust. I have found that when you order the pizza as part of a deal, the toppings are considerably more scant than when you buy a pizza on its own and pay the full price. Although I can totally see why they use this cheeky marketing ploy (and get away with it), it's still very misleading. In summary, don't be tricked into thinking that just because you will save some money taking a meal deal, you will get the same quality and quantity as if you were to buy the items separately.

Pleasant food. Collected pizza £14 deal was well put together plenty of food for the money, would visit again. Well mannered staff.
