Duffy's Famous Fish & Chips

Went there for dinner Aug 20th 2017. Served fast, pleasant waitress. Had halibut and baked potato and my boyfriend had shrimp and haddock and fries. Came with homemade gravy. Everything was fresh and tasty. Would return again.

We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was somewhat busy. There is lots of on street parking and the place was easy to find. Upon entry, we were seated by a young fellow who did not want to be there. He took us to the table, plunked down the menus and left without seeing us seated. He didn't even turn around to see if we were following him. Could have been owner's son, don't know. Luckily the waitress attended our table and was very pleasant and took our drink orders right away and we had them in no time. Food orders were taken and even though it was busy and getting busier, the food was delivered in a reasonable time. The fish and chips were hot as well as the burger. The food was good, with good quantities and the waitress attentive, however the way we were seated was much to be desired. We observed the process a number of times and all were the same. No feeling as to wanting us to be there, just get us seated and move on. We would still recommend this place to eat as the food was good and plentiful. We would go back again when school is on so that we might get a better initial reception.
