You had me at Mochi, but oh my! The confections here are as tasty as they are beautiful! So hard to choose, so we tried several. The staff was very kind and helpful. A must-stop in Little Tokyo! View all feedback.
What T L doesn't like about Auntie Em's Fine Foods And Pastries:
I'm not quite sure why this place has so many positive reviews. Everything went smoothly and everyone was kind but as far as the pies we ordered..I was not impressed. We ordered an apple crumble pie and a strawberry rhubarb pie. The apple crumble has a good flavor but the apple were crunchy. It was very odd to me because usually apple pie apples are soft and tender. It really made the pie unpleasant for us. The straw... View all feedback.
So when Auntie Em 's first opened I went to check it out. The products are definitely REALLY, REALLY GOOD, but the owner was not. I told all my friends about this place because it 's really word of mouth in the Pilipino community, but they experienced the SAME 'attitude ' and so we all kinda stopped going but recently my best friend went and told me that the owner was super nice when she went so I decided to check it out again and I have to say that Auntie Em has redeemed herself and she was really nice and quick to help with what I wanted, so I have to put up a great post and recommend that everyone check this place out because everything she makes is really, really delicious, fresh, unique. I went twice in one week because her bibingka is GREAT and so are her chicken empanadas and ensymada, but man, she makes the BEST cheese rolls ever, even better than Portos. I will start frequenting this place again because I prefer to support independent local businesses.
Ube ensaymada Hawaiian bread on crack. It was so tasty and pillowy soft for only $2.25. Get get get! I can't wait to go back to try other things here.

The buko pandan cupcake is a MUST!! I originally came in for the Ube, upon hearing stories about how great it was, and it is fantastic, but I fell in love with the buko pandan. The cupcakes are light, fluffy and moist. The frosting is sweet, but not over bearing and cavity inducing. I'm definitely hooked and this may just be the end of my diet.
Auntie Em's is a great gem in the wall for pastry and cakes. I ordered chicken beef empanadas, cheese rolls, cupcakes, and ube ensayamada. My in laws love the assorted cupcakes and empanadas. The cheese rolls are very crunchy as well. I pre-ordered the Halo Halo cake and it was delicious but a little bit too much coconut. I'd come back again and order more delicious pastries
