Hands down the best whoopie pie I’ve ever had. Customer service here is top notch, shopping here feels like coming home. They are so incredibly welcoming and willing to answer any questions I had. The crumb is delicate and moist but not sticky. I’ve always hated getting whoopie pies because they were too sweet and the frosting is too grainy. The frosting is fluffy, light, decadent, and beautifully creamy. It feels li... View all feedback.
What Mae Krajcik doesn't like about Cape Whoopies, Maine's Gourmet Whoopie Pie:
I stopped in recently to grab a Whoopie Pie and was very disappointed in the quality of the food. After my first bite, I had to throw the rest in the trash. The cake section was “okay” but not great. The filling unfortunately had the consistency of gum. I literally had to chew the frosting….I honestly hate to leave a negative review for any business, I really do. It cost me 76,00 for a dozen. Not bad. And the snoring answers this person gives bad reviews is even worse. Whoopie cakes should be moist and creamy. You are DRY and the filling is chewing, strong and rough. I don't recommend it.
This is just a small detour from the Greenbelt, so while I was on a bike tour, I walked on a whim inside. The women behind the counter were super nice and passionate, so even if I just wanted to buy one, I bought half a dozen instead. There are so many flavors that I wanted to try as many as I could, but from the 6 I ate I loved each one. You were all very goodThey definitely are not like your average Huropie cakes you see in most stores, but honestly I think this was better. The cake was amazing and the cream was firmer and had more of a bite on it. I plan on returning and getting some as gifts for my friends and family, but if someone reads some of the bad reviews, I recommend trying them first before I have any assumptions. Spicy Hot Chocolate was my favorite but Lime in Da Coconut is a tight second.

Very rich chocolatey cake, silky soft frosting that packs some heat from the cayenne. It was the perfect combination of flavor.

But after this experience, what I tasted does not represent what a real whoopie pie should be in any manner other than it’s shape. Change your frosting and I’ll give you another try!
Got them as a gift from family. So delicious. We received 6 pies of differing varieties and it was hard to not just eat them all in one night. The blonde maple one was my favorite!
