This place is just up from the piers so is ideally situated for ice creams and other confectionery. There was a choice of about 10 flavours but the scoops were a bit skinny. Nice taste though. Pricey but no doubt due to location. View all feedback.
What kanjania doesn't like about The Windermere Ice Cream Co:
Seeing the big ques, we waited so long, however only to be told you cannot even try any flavour. So we went ahead and purchased the icecream only to bin it, as the taste was below supermarket ice cream levels. Not recommended! View all feedback.
The service was robotic, condescending and almost unpleasant. The man who served us an ice cream was not wearing any gloves which was very concerning! He hadn’t placed the ice creams on the cone properly and they were both slipping off. To add to this, he had given us a cone which was cracked and therefore it split in two. As for the ice cream itself, the bubble gum flavour was pleasant however the cookies and cream was very disappointing. Will not be revising this ice cream shop anytime soon!
Absolutely Lush ice cream, loads of choice and the most lovely young man served us, such a warm welcoming genuinely friendly personality. Saturday 9th July. I have a catering business in a seaside location I would employ that young man in a heartbeat, a credit to your company!
Ice cream ok, was concerned that the guy serving wasn’t wearing gloves was also dealing with cash!
As my partner has a nut allergy we waited for 15 minutes to be served after we read the signage in the window “please ask a member of staff for ingredients and allergy information” once we reached the front of the line my partner told the server of her nut allergy only to be told “sorry I can’t serve you at all” the signage in the window should be corrected to “ we don’t cater for those with allergies” It’s slightly concerning that they obviously have no clue what ingredients they use or there hygiene is that bad they’re scared of cross contamination.
Visited Windermere for the weekend and sought out places to go for ice cream. We stopped by on the Saturday and we were not at all disappointed with this choice . Great tasting ice cream! Tasted even better because of the lovely polite young person who served us on that day. I was very impressed.
