Riva Grill On The Lake

The food was good. Service was very poor. It was about an hour from the time we were seated to when we got our food. Worst part was we chose to dine inside. They leave doors and windows open so the restaurant buzzing with flies. Staff didn't acknowledge it or apologize for it. Would not dine here again.

I've visited Riva several times over the years with my family. This go round was marginal. Menu variety was poor. Had a hard time making a decision on an entree' (coconut milk poached halibut) was dry and lacked flavor. Daughters chicken tenders and fries were soggy. The family was looking forward to our visit, but left disappointed.

We're local and go to Riva regularly. Great views, the special snow crab was perfect with a generous portion, the service was unhurried and attentive, kinda expensive, but that's expected these days. Get reservations and have a memorable experience.

Went to Riva for my birthday with my lady friend. We both ordered steak. I had the ribeye and she had the filet and scampi. Both were cooked perfectly. Mike the waiter was great. Had a fun personality. Our sides with both meals were excellent.

Our waiter Sebastian was outstanding. We were seated right by the harbor, which was great, but it was very sunny. Sebastian commandeered an umbrella to get us covered and he was a great waiter overall.
