I would give this restaurant five stars if I could! The food was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff even went out of their way to prepare a special dish for my husband, even though it wasn't on the menu. I highly recommend this place! View all feedback.
What Frank Ritter doesn't like about Tong-d Thai:
This was my first experience trying Thai cuisine. I arrived shortly before closing, so I did feel a bit rushed. Service: Dine in Dinner Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.
Such a nice little surprise! has a dedicated vegan menu with many options. eating is not fat like other Thai places. has been back several times.
My husband and I were staying in Wakefield for a visit. We ordered Thai from TONG-D the night before we left, so we’d have no dishes to clean. It was such a pleasant surprise!! The food had very fresh vegetables, delicious options, and I was sorry we didn’t have another opportunity to order again! The crispy portobello (teriyaki-sesame sauce) appetizer we ordered was the most delicious item we ordered. There’s an entree size too, definitely splurge and get the larger portion, otherwise you won’t want to share . The fresh roll was a garden salad with vermicelli wrapped in rice paper, served with a seriously tasty peanut-hoisin sauce. The scallion pancakes were toasted and crunchy, not at all soggy. It was served with a creamy peanut satay. I hope this restaurant stays successful, we want to go back again every year!
We loved our food here! They have happy hour everyday from 3-6 and offer cheap appetizers and drinks. They have a separate vegan menu with a ton of options. For apps we got edamame and tofu woosen soup-both were great. For entrees we got drunken noodles and pad thai. The portions were great and the flavor was excellent. Some of the best thai food we’ve ever had. For a huge meal and two drinks our total was 40$. The service was friendly and the restaurant is immaculate. Highly, highly recommend this place.
A few of the options here are labeled vegan but others are easily adapted. My favorite order here is the pad Thai with tofu, hold the egg and oyster sauce, and add extra veggies. So good! They give huge helpings, I typically get two meals out of an order. I've never dined in here but the atmosphere is nice when I've been in to pick up meals.
EDIT: This store has new owners/new names and has no more selected vegan menu. You have a large, marked vegan menu that is so beautiful. We had the mushroom teriyaki appetizer, mango fried rice and pad thai. We all liked the tampon thai, but the mango fried rice was also good. The roasted tofu in both meals was excellent. The sauce on the mushroom teriyaki was fantastic. The grandparents of my husband who are not vegan also loved their vegan meals. Updated by previous review on 2021-11-15
