Contribute FeedbackThe Prime West Grill at Rydges Hotel in Kalgoorlie offers a mixed dining experience, with some guests praising the friendly staff, generous portion sizes, and delicious vegetarian options. However, there were mixed reviews on the meat dishes, with some finding the steaks to be overpriced and poorly cooked. Overall, the restaurant seems to have potential, especially for vegetarians, but improvements could be made in terms of consistency in food quality and service.
Dinner here this week with friends ... service was great, the manager was very attentive to not only us but all of the diners.Seems to have lost its spot as Kalgoorlies premier location to dine. Restaurant was cluttered and messy looking, staff wearing polo shirts and joggers.Menu although it's long over due for a change, food was delivered quickly and well presented and tasty.WillVisit again when next in town though.
I had the most amazing Birthday dinner with my partner at prime west grill at the Rydges hotel kalgoorlie the entire meal including entree, main and dessert were absolutely amazing. Service was first class could not ask for a better experience. Thanks for a wonderful night.
Being here on business I thought I would try the Prime West Grill thinking that surely for $48 you would get a half decent Rib eye. Whilst my steak coming out Rare/blue instead of the medium rare like I asked, this was not too much of an issue for me. What was an issue was the very low quality rib eye I received. I will not ever eat here again and now will never stay at the Rydges again as I do like the availability of a quick meal in the evening at my hotel.
There is an event on at the Cinema tonight that my friends and I are attending, so thinking it would be a nice finish to the 'Ladies Night Out' I rang and made dinner reservation for 8.30pm (after the movie). Reception confirmed with the restaurant that this would be okay and made the booking. Disappointingly, I just received a phone call informing me that the kitchen closes at 8.30 pm and despite confirming when I had called earlier in the day, I would not be able to order any food for dinner. Quite obviously I then asked the caller to cancel my reservation and ended the call. I find it baffling that with an event on at the cinema across the road that Rydges chose not keep their kitchen open a little longer and cross promote. I am sure my group would not have been the only ones that would have liked to finish their night with something to eat - even just a coffee and dessert.I am sorely disappointed with Rydges, especially as this is not the first time. Where I have the choice I will not be returning, and most certainly will not be recommending to friends and family.
I had the salmon parcel, it was OK, small piece of fish, lots of pastry & mash. For the price I wouldn't go back. Service was good & venue is nice
