Love this restaurant! The Honey Habanaro plate is a must try. That's so different and delicious. It comes with a homemade role. I have a pomegranate lemonade to drink and it was also very good. The service was very friendly. I will definitely return. View all feedback.
What Luis Gonzalez doesn't like about Wallabys:
I normally come to eat at this location for lunch however, I am very disappointed as I ordered 3 meals and all 3 had very hard impossible to chew chicken that after showing the server she was impressed how hard it was. After speaking with the person upfront because the manager wouldn’t come out to speak to me, they brought back smaller pieces of chicken than the original meal was suppose to bring and just one piece o... The drink selection is nice. Their sweet& wild salad is to die for. Brisket always great! Rolls fresh and serving sizes large.
This was the 3rd time we have eaten here in 4 years. Where to begin. We stood at the order counter for 5 minutes before a girl came running out from the back to take our order. Obviously she wasn't trained in what the menu consisted of, and the fact that 3 of their sides were not available wasn't a very good beginning. We ordered the ribs plate, my wife 1/3 and me 1/2 rib. We both ordered garden salads but weren't asked for dressing flavor. When we questioned she said they only had ranch and thousand island so just assumed ranch. We got our drink cups and went to fill them. That went fine except that the are where you pick up utensils was a mess. Only had a few forks available and the small waste container was full of trash. We then looked for a table. There were only 4 or 5 parties at this time, 6:45 pm. But of the remaining tables 50 were cover with prior dinner's plates and trash. The place was a mess. There was no effort to clear any tables while we ate either. We got our meals quickly which was surprising give our start. I asked the young man for hand wipes since we were having ribs. He told us they didn't have any and to use more paper napkins. Hard to imagine a BBQ place without wipes! We'll the food was okay and we finished our dinners and got out. Given their service and cleanliness and that 2 dinners totaled $44, we won't be back. 2 stars because the food was okay.
Went in and ordered take out, and the cashier confirmed that it was take out, but they brought our food out on a tray. Not a big deal but we did have to wait longer for them to take it back and box it up.Got home and we had been given the wrong meat. It was still delicious, so it wasn't a big deal but not what we ordered. Considering we were the only customers at the time it's a bit surprising how many times they messed up.The service was pretty quick though and the food was good. We'll definitely go again and try some of the other meat choices.
Technically, I love their food, but from the one they had in Sandy. This is the 3rd time we tried the South Jordan one. It is far away from home, so I would love to eat what I was used to eat before the pandemic in Sandy.Their brisket is delicious!!!!(maybe that is why I insist on ordering it). I also tried the other meat today and it was too dry. I also tried the ribs and it was also too dry, but the brisket, was delicious as always!I also liked the the veggies. The first time I went to the South Jordan location they were looking at me like what are you talking about? The funny thing is that one of their pictures has the broccoli. The kid's menu with Mac and Cheese came without the crumbs. The picture you will see is eating at home.
Decent place for BBQ food. Specifically went here since they have a lot of GF options. They seem to be pretty well informed on the allergy restrictions which I appreciate. I’m not sure it’s 100% safe due to cross contamination which I hope they can improve on. Brisket was dry but the pulled pork and fries were amazing. Would love to see a bigger difference in the BBQ sauces. Can’t really tell the difference between the three.
