This was 50 years ago my local, I loved this place always and was not disappointed to see that it held a lot of its old character. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the decor is pleasant and bright. would recommend this place in any case.
Had not yet flattened, but really enjoyed being able to have 3 individual dishes. my partner had a meal he said was very good. one of my 3 dishes was a little spicy for me, but would be good for most people. had more than enough to eat. it was quiet when we were in the early evening. the personal was pleasant and attentive without compromising you.

Really great service. Food was delicious. Only bad thing I can say is they need new tables as they are very sticky. An explanation was provided that during the pandemic they used a lot of sanitiser to clean the tables and they haven’t gone back to normal. But other than that really pleasant experience.
Visited here recently on the EO2HO scheme the staff were super friendly and you got a lot of food for the price. I do feel some of the dishes could have been slightly higher quality but overall a really nice meal. Only downside was our table was in the hallway literally next to the kitchen and stairs so we were constantly hearing the waiters and chef shouting to each other and people coming up and down the stairs
