I come here often as it's really the best fish and chips place for vegans. Lot's of options all very tasty, the price is very good. We usually share a tofish (tofu fish) and large chips between two people and get super full. Service is really nice and quick. The owners are super friendly and happy to explain what the vegan options are (very clearly marked on the menu anyways). It's not a very big space but you usuall... View all feedback.
What Dave Watson doesn't like about Codfellas:
The staff was nice, huge vegan menu and a great lunchtime discount. The Tofish, who was very expensive, over £9 and it was quite big. I was impressed by the fishy taste and seaweed underneath, but after a few bites I had enough because the density, size and texture it filled very much - it's just a lot tofu. Chips were beautiful, more than £4 but for a big and the portions were very modest. Would buy again, but maybe... View all feedback.
The fish and chips make such a good pleasure. the art and wise how the soultang is wrapped around the tofu under the teig gives it a beautiful taste. mushy inherited are great. are also huge!
This place is an authentic fish and chip restaurant, with super lovely staff and some amazing vg options. The tofish is really incredible and has an amazing texture for a vg substitute. Would highly recommend!
Don't know where they catch their Tofish but it's the biggest I've ever seen, couldn't actually finish it. It's also very tasty, and putting black pepper in the mushy peas is a masterly touch. Very good.
If you’d like a specific meal, wich is fried.. you should go there ! Staff (I think the owner) explained everything to me, price was fair for London. Tofish (great fibrous textured Tofu and a nori sheet to make it taste like a bit more fishy) is enough to get full, if you’re really hungry get some homemade vegan nuggets as welljust been there once but I’ll definitely will go back some day If i want something naughty (i say this because its all fried so not really healthy as many vegans do like their food)
