Great fish and chips, large portions and freshly cooked. Kept very clean inside, including the oil, no black bits on your chips! Always busy at the weekend, for good reason. Good value for money and friendly service. The homemade tartare sauce is delicious! View all feedback.
What steveandpat doesn't like about Burnham Fish Chips:

Was excited to try this place as moved into the area. Lots of good reviews made me think that I was going to have some special food. Unfortunately, was very underwhelmed. The chips had a burnt hue to them, and didn’t taste the freshest. Still edible but not enjoyable to eat. Won’t be back anytime soon.
Polite and well mannered staff which only added to what was a perfectly pleasant meal I ate in). I first came here about 7 years ago whilst on business in Slough so when I was back there it seemed a logical choice. A pity that the air conditioning wasn’t on especially as it was 30 degrees outside so who knows what the temperature was inside!!! A good takeaway and little restaurant.
I am afraid I cannot share the excitement of other reviewers. The chips were fine but the pies were dreadful. They were mildly warm, and thats being nice, and soggy. Whether or not they had been microwaved before being wrapped I don't know but really were not worth the money. Tired this as a one off as we usually go elsewhere and I am afraid we wont be going back
Fantastic, we got a nice selection of items just to try different things, all were excellent as was the service, very reasonable for fish and chips price wise, will be our new go to
I stayed in Slough for a weekend to visit Legoland and decided to try this restaurant for dinner after reading some reviews. I went in with no expectations other than a simple chippy dinner for my family of four. The shop was very busy with a queue nearly out the door, which was a positive sign. We wanted to dine in and found four tables towards the back. We were told to take a seat and our order was promptly taken. The food arrived within 10 minutes and we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent fish with light and tasty batter that wasn't greasy. The chips were hot and portion sizes were generous. The tartare sauce was also delicious. The kids' meals were a great value at around £4 for a main, chips, and a drink. Overall, we were impressed with the quality of the food, the value, and the service.
