the view of the sea is beautiful. there are possibilities to sit inside and outside. they have homemade dishes. we tried the cake, the delishs (3 somthing) we also bought the homemade (munster cheese, 6 per kilogram) a homemade Tmme cheese (12 per kilogram). another cool slow food location. What Guy Lelievre doesn't like about Le Forlet:
Beautifully situated auberge at the prettiest of the 4 lakes. But there it also stops. Venue is basic, staff quite disinterested, and worse of all: the potato and meat/cheese dishes left us with uneasy stomachs all night. A pity, cause the place has quite some potential because of its beautiful setting. We do really recommend the hiking! View all feedback.
Very tasty and homemade food. super friendly service. fair prices. unfortunately closed for the winter, as far as I know. we were on the last day before the conclusion of this year (3 november.) will come back safely next year.
We held in this auberge as part of a walk we made near lac du forlet. we sat outside and ordered a drink. the waitress was quite rude and seemed to have seen too many tourists in this season. she served the drinks without seeing us and without saying a word. but that was nothing compared to the owner of the place. while we enjoy our drinks, we noticed two hikers arriving at the parking lot near the auberge. at the moment they wanted to enter their car, the owner of the auberge began very brutally shouting at them that this was not a free parking lot the walkers were apparently very surprised, but did not react while the owner continued screaming and expressed a very brutal speech. we decided to leave the auberge immediately and continue our walk. as we passed the parking lot, we did not notice any signs that parking was allowed only with a drink in the auberge. we will never return to this place, which is clearly not tourist friendly.
Food was over cooked, tough, and drowned in what tasted like packet mix gravy. We were disappointed and won't be going back as for the price (cost over 100€ for two with wine) there are much better options out there. The onion soup was nice though and the service was friendly and accommodating, which was a relief.
I do not recommend this restaurant at all... the service was very rude. The waiters were saying all the time I don 't forget you , but they really did. We had to ask many times for the command (as there were things missing)... Food OK, but you can find MUCH better restaurants in the area.
Please don't listen to bad reviews since most of them seem to be scam. First of all, you won't get any frost food in this restaurant. Secondly, service is always friendly and you'll get good suggestions from the staff.
