Great food and service. We had grilled octopus which was fantastic. The seafood soup was great, as well. The star of the show was the fried anchovies that were fresh caught that morning. We loved it. View all feedback.
Incredibly fresh seafood, cheaper prices than at Sorrento proper, outdoor seats fronting the beach, and helpful staff make for an unforgettable experience at this restaurant in the midst of a working fisherman's village. They are always worth the short descent and eventual climb back to Sorrento. For appetizers, their sauteed mussels were prepared well and simply, beards removed and still sweet as they were unbelievably fresh. Portions were very generous. They served nearly an entire loaf of bread, fresher than most restaurants, which went well with the buttery sauce at the bottom of the plate. Their grilled mixed seafood was delicious, each piece cooked to perfection. The prawn was soft and sweet, the calamari charred wonderfully, and the fish cooked well. Their spaghetti with mixed seafood was just as wonderful, the pasta firm and the sauces from all the seafood (octopus, shrimp, mussels and clam) pooling in the bottom. Don't forget to mix in the cherry tomatoes hanging around separately! Service was friendly and quick. Sitting outside can be a bit cramped but it does give a good view of the sea. I can imagine this place would be great for watching sunsets as well. We can't wait to come back and try the other menu items! We highly recommend this place to anyone staying or visiting Sorrento and who won't mind a short walk to incredibly well-cooked, freshly caught seafood!
The best dining experience in Sorrento! We had a slight queue to wait for a table, but this was just an opportunity to grab a cold beer from the nearby shop, bask in the early evening sun and enjoy the sounds and sights of the marina. Once we were seated the staff were incredibly attentive, serving us extremely promptly and giving us the full breakdown of the special dishes available from that day's catch. The food was sensational, the wine was excellent, and the value for money could not be beaten compared to other nearby restaurants. An absolute gem of a family run restaurant.

This little restaurant is busy every day, we visited the restaurant in mid October (a low tourist season), and the place was full by 7pm. One of the key reasons is their economical prices and good quality food. Service was also great and staff were friendly. We ordered fried catch of the day, fan fried fish and salad. The seafood was fresh and tasty. The shrimp in the deep fried catch of the day were so crunchy that you can eat the shell as well. The view and the atmosphere of the restaurant were great, it faced the ocean. I would highly recommend it for someone who wants to get a fast and great meal.
Wow. This restaurant is amazing. Stepped into Porta Marina since it started raining during our day trip to Sorrento, and we weighed a few options before we picked. And we definitely picked right! The restaurant opened at 12 so we had to wait a bit before they were able to take our order, which was no problem. We ordered the catch of the day (swordfish) and the seafood pasta. The swordfish was so good, grilled to perfection and a huge portion. The seafood pasta is a must try as well, a great portion with such a delicious seafood flavor. I'd imagine everything here is good, so I'd try something else next time! Price was good as well, under 20 euros for each dish which is great for seafood prices.
