As a resident of Sonoma I bring almost all my guests to Layla's for a lovely meal and atmosphere. What I like least about our dining experience both inside and outside is your choice of dining music. It is usually too loud making it difficult to hear and the play list is all vocals. When you are listening to friends you don't want to hear music with more voices. 30 minute wait once we sat for sandwiches, extremely underwhelming. Beautiful atmosphere but the menu and service fell short. There was more staff than guests. It didn't make sense to us and we'd pass next time.
I love Layla. Outside is charming but this was a surprise storm and sitting inside was bright and happy. Great food and even better cocktails.
I had one of the best dorado fish last night. The waitress was also an amazing lady. I wish I aske her for her name.

I can't understand some of the low ratings. We absolutely LOVED our brunch at Layla! Everything from the food to the service to the valet and of course, the lovely atmosphere we just couldn't have been more pleased. I had the best BLT I've ever tasted so much flavor, with perfect fries. Loved every bite. One of my gal pals had the burger and the other had the halibut sandwich with salad. They were both loved their meals. We skipped dessert as we were too full. I thought the serving sizes were great not so much food as to be wasted but enough to feel fully satisfied just right. I can't wait to go back to Layla. It is a real find! I'm only sorry didn't find Layla earlier.
