Kanum Khai is a Thai dessert made of eggs, butter and some flour to make a sponge like small cakes. As in the photo it is baked by heaping hot coals on top, while more heat is also provided on the ground... which leads to melting cakes in the mouth, which goes very well with Café Boran while walking around the old town of Songkhla and looking for instagramable photo-oves like street art.
