Legal Sea Foods- Somerville

Waitress was non-existent. There was a spill(glass got knocked over reaching for a roll) and when I did get her attention she brought a bar towel and handed it to me to clean up the table. Then she left the garbage from cleaning up on the table. Took almost a half hour to get the check and cash out. Could see the server in the back laughing and talking while I sat there. Had my kids leave while I continued to wait to pay it was so long. Never actually asked how of meal was or offered condiments. Food was average for adults. Best meal was my toddlers kids meal. Lots of choices for kids which is nice. Overall, not impressed and would not return.

As if the Celtics winning was not great enough, Legal Seafood did an amazing job with a celebration offer. For $18, we enjoyed a lobster, potatoes, and corn. Our server Ruben was absolutely spectacular and on point with everything! Looking forward to our next visit.

Chose Legal's Mystic in Assembly Row for a party of 5 as it's usually consistent for fresh fish and high quality... sadly this location was not the usual higher standard I've experienced in other locations. The tuna I ordered smelled tasted very fishy... it was inedible as was the salmon. Service was slow and we were charged for a round of drinks that were ordered but, had never arrived. We had 3 different mistakes on the bill we had to have adjusted as well. I would not recommend this location

I have never had any problems at this location of Legal Sea Foods in the past, however, this time it was bad. We had our standard order an appetizer 2x baked&stuffed lobsters dessert coffee some wine: (a) the waiter forgot our appetizer and didn 't even recall that we had ordered it thankfully they didn 't include it in the check; (b) one of the sides, mushrooms was really burnt we complained but nothing happened; (c) we got our order 45min after the order that 's way too long provided that the restaurant was not busy at all; (d) the waiter didn 't offer us to refill our water until we asked. Finally, they are still not accepting tap to pay (like Apple Pay) fortunately I had my physical credit card on me really, in 2024??? The lobster was really overpriced at least a 30% increase compared to Jul/2023. Will unlikely go there again any time soon.

First time at legal seafood many years ago was a great memory. Dinner tonight at the Somerville location was literally the worst seafood meal of my life. Clientele and atmosphere of an Outback Steakhouse in a strip mall. From tasteless mussels to stale garlic toast to lobster so overcooked that the minuscule amount of meat was permanently adhered to the shell. I would choose a Red Lobster in Kentucky over this place. Sad to witness the decline.
