Really enjoyed the new Simply Asia menu here! The restaurant itself is in good condition and the wait staff is friendly.<br/ <br/ I was abit disappointed that I couldn't get a knife to cut my duck though.<br/ <br/ All in all the 514 was great! Simply Asia is always a winner!
Simply Asia is situated in the mall but I still reccomend this place as it has such good food and its healthy. I always get my take outs from here. However the service is so slow and if you having a sit down meal make sure you have patience. They need more waiters.
I usually do not recommend any restaurant that finds itself in a shopping centre. But I have to make an exception for Simply Asia. If you do not like junk food and want something tasty and delicious, look no further. I have eaten here many times, with my family or even by myself and I have never, ever had a sub standard meal. My favourite are the corn cakes to start and the pad tai or the prawn and calamari noodle dish. Tho I have tried many other dishes too. Service can be good or at times a bit slow as they can be very busy. But on the whole a consistent restaurant that does not disappoint.
In Somerset Mall, tucked away in a corner near the arcade and the movies you will find Simply Asia. This is a franchise restaurant built on an excellent formula and each one has a Thai chef. Really, the formula is there and so it is up to each individual owner to make you feel at home, as the food and the menu should be a given. Our Simply Asia is very small, and I was glad we got a table with no problems – and as the seats have been changed from benches to chairs I was doubly happy. We sit as close to the kitchen as possible – not only to get a close up of the chef, but to get away from the outside noise from the arcade and food hall tables.
Simply Asia serves some of the delicious Thai dishes I've tasted so far. They are quick in their service, kid friendly, reasonably healthy and each outlet has got a decent decor. Its probably one of the few restaurants that has more than 5 vegetarian dishes<br/ <br/ The staff is courteous and always smiling. One can always customise the dishes according to their preference (mild, medium or hot) . The mains are usually stir frys. So one can choose if they would like to have it with rice or noodles.<br/ <br/ I usually order #409. Simply amazing dish. Price wise, this restaurant is extremely reasonable. I guess that's the reason why people love it so much<br/ <br/ I felt that I did not have a lot of choice in wine or beer. Besides, the seating area was a bit cramped up. But is fine as the outlet is located close to a Sterkinekor. Most of the customers go there before/after they watch a movie.
