We miss our Italian stove in Mechanicsburg so much so that I found it by chance. The setup is a bit tired and could use a refreshment, but my server, Abbie, was great and very helpful. The salad was kind of sad and wild (it is February), but my eggplant parm was delicious and hot. The pasta was not overcooked, and this Italian... as I remember. I took lasagna and a chicken Texas Stromboli to the family, and both dinners got high marks. I'm so glad I decided to stop.
No locals. Just through the gym. I ordered the taste of Italy It was fine. Auberginenparmesan was probably the best of him. Honestly, we almost didn't come because we thought that the place was closed, because their sign light wasn't on and the parking lot was empty. All the time, from pulling into the parking lot to leave it, the place gave me a 'Kitchen Nightmares' vibe that made us nervous to come. Why are we eating the only ones here at 7:30? Do the locals know what we don't do? When entering, we saw a sign that they were set in all positions, so I thought they were either on a downward lumber and we were over a terrible eating experience, or they 're in the middle of fixing their problem from the front and we were over a mediocre experience while they 're transition. Fortunately, it was kind of mediocre. The server tried to take a to-go order and had to finish this before we sat down, although we were apparently the first table they had set in the last 15 minutes. No one has immersed us in all our time. There were 2 to-go pickups. The atmosphere was fine. No decor or anything to feel it like an Italian restaurant I noticed, but nothing bad. I liked the idea of having the local companies ' cards under the glass on the dining table to support their community. I don't know if this place has burned its community in the past, but I would give them a chance. I thought maybe they were too far out of the way, but we literally came out of the gym to eat here while we're over. The food was fine, so if she had a better cook or something that this place could even be great. Just a quick proposal I could give to the staff, maybe get rid of the little butter packages that come with your bread. I understand that you are likely to do it for budgetary reasons, but it is so simple, cheap. You could mix a really decent homemade garlic / herbal butter to go with your bread, and that could be a literal drawing ground to dine at your place for the locals.
The food was very delicious. We have the fried zucchini that is a must! The small garden salads were a beautiful size and paired nice with a large pizza. The children's meals were good and they loved them.
We went to Somerset Italian Oven today for lunch with family. I over heard that the regular cook had called off so the trainee was working. Hats off to this person for a wonderful meal that all five of us enjoyed. There are often critiques from some of these folks but today not a single complaint! Great meal!
