One of my favorite Caribbean food spots in AZ. Very authentic, from the beverages to the dishes. I've tried all the staples, j chicken, fish , Pattie's, you name it. Highly recommend you can't go wrong View all feedback.
What Na Jada Rainer doesn't like about De Island Breeze:
I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time, and my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered the beef stew, but it was overwhelmingly fatty and very tough. It certainly wasn’t tender at all. I'm a big fan of mac and cheese, but the version here was quite unappetizing—not good at all. I definitely wouldn't consider ordering from here again. Excellent customer service, always remember my face when I order. I had eaten here for over 20 years when they were on Hamilton St. and they were a little business. The food is ALWAYS good, I just trust her ache Saltfish. Since they've been closed for this pandemic, I'm sorry! I don't eat anyone else. I love you Island Breeze! Don't wait until you get up. Have my favorite dish, I've always come here since they've opened again.
I just had dinner at this beautiful place and I must say it was amazing. I ordered curry beef and it came with rice peas, cabbage and plantain. I don't even eat cabbage, but baby lets me tell you whatever they made this cabbage so delicious. I ordered the rum punch and it was very good and strong. The woman who served me was so nice and polite. When the night fell, they turned the lights onto the terrace and a dj began playing Reggae music. I felt like I was on a Carribean island, just stepped back and enjoying me. I met some very nice people who are regular and just had a very nice time here. I'm not from NJ, but I've already made plans to come back and bring a family. I recommend this place

Walking around around Somerset NJ around 9:30pm hungry AF and I see very few restaurants open at this hour. I come across Island Breeze and when I walk in, I am greeted by a wonderful employee named Matt. This restaurant replenished my hunger and is a great environment to eat in. 5 stars. Hands down. All of the employees were very welcoming and I felt like at home.
So have your ever heard of the expression running on Island time?! Because you for sure have to call ahead to place your order. I recommend at least 45 minutes before pick up and be prepared to wait another 10 when you get there lol But honestly it's totally worth and we happily do this every time!! You can tell the food is freshly made. Prior to COVID, we have sat inside to eat and we always called beforehand so it can be ready. We recently went back and looks like you can still eat inside but we decided to pick up their lunch special of J Chicken with rice and sweet plantains. This dish is still soooo bomb but was lacking a bit of the sauce the J Chicken usually has but we devoured it either way! We always hit this spot up when we are craving so good Caribbean Food. The oxtail is also good but I always get the J Chicken!
