Jack Dolan’s Irish Pub - Smithtown

Went for a late lunch, the Pub Burger and Sheppards Pie were excellent, as was the Irish Onion Soup. Portions are large, well prepared and served promptly. The owner John (Jack's grandson) stopped by to check that everything was to our liking and chatted with us for a bit. Kelly, our waitress couldn't have been more accommodating, wrapping up our leftovers. The cook even popped his head out to check on us old codgers. Dolan's even had my favorite Magners Irish Cider.Parking: Located in a strip mall with generous parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Curb cuts and no obstacles.

Went for Karaoke night. Not many people. Just had a couple of beers. Bartender was good. KJ was very friendly. Encouraged others to sing. Small but cozy Irish

I have eaten there several times over the past few weeks. We had a larger group than usual yesterday (recommend reservations).A few good pints in the pub, excellent late lunch in the dining room, then back to the pub. The Guinness pours are good. My meal yesterday, and the ones prior, have been excellent. I've tried the fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef, and shepherd's pie as main courses. Good sized portions and terrific quality and flavor.The wait service is friendly and attentive. Each time I've eaten there, either one of the owners or the chef have checked to see how our meal was.All around great experience. It will definitely be a regular dining place for us.
