Even got a u... read more I just had a roast lamb dinner. Fancy presentation which doesn't bother me, as I just want good taste but The Harp Tavern delivered on both fronts. Even got a unexpected bonus with a Yorkshire pudding , with roast Lamb. ?? Normally only get them with roast beef, but I love them so that was a good surprise for me Staff were spot on, helpful but not in your face even time you turn around. Good atmosphere so all in all i am well impressed. Competitive pricing too.

Remember we were late on arrival and they went the extra mile keeping the kitchen open.The Guiness was perfect as was the lovely ladies Moretti. The Harp Bar is a little gem and staff are excellent. The surroundings are beautiful with the toilets spotless.Well done..Thanks. for a lovely visit

Trip Advisor was not wrong when they listed the Harp Tavern as the first place in Sligo to eat. Just 2 minutes walk from our hotel we went to the busy Gastro Pu... read more Trip Advisor was not wrong when they listed the Harp Tavern as the first place in Sligo to eat. Just 2 minutes walk from our hotel we went to the busy Gastro Pub on a Saturday afternoon. Luckily there was 1 table left and we sat right away. We broke over the menu while enjoying a crispy pint and ordered the burgers and chips and pepperoni pizza with onion rings, chips and curry sauce. I barely did it halfway before our food was served. Visually, it was breathtaking and it tasted even better. The perfectly boiled half pound burger had to be eaten with a knife and fork, as it was simply too massive to be attacked by hand. The chips were boiled three times and triple the quality of many I was previously served. Satisfied and fully barked we asked for the bill to see eager what the great Sligo city had to offer. The remarkably low price of 42 euros made it not only a wonderful place to eat, but also great value for money.

I had went in to reserve a table and Ann sorted us out with a private function room , the room was spacious had a smart TV we could use to play some music and we got regularly checked on by the staff who were all amazing! We decided to order some pizzas between us all and in my opinion its the best pizza in Sligo , cooked to perfection so fairplay to the chefs! great job! If your looking for a friendly spot to have a stag birthday I would highly recommend here. Ann is one of a kind and I am glad to have had such a special night here. Couldnt recommend enough

When we arrived in the evening, service was f... read more Popped in in the afternoon to look at the evening menu and the lady I spoke to was fantastic friendly and helpful. When we arrived in the evening, service was friendly and efficient. The allergen coding was really helpful for ordering but things went wrong from here. I have an egg allergy and ordered a medium steak (no egg allergen listed). It arrived with a portion of coleslaw in the middle touching salad and chips. I cleared it from the plate myself and we all began our meal. My medium steak was well done. I had even emphasised that I didn 't want it overdone when ordering. Nobody came to check on us until I had eaten everything but the steak. When they did, I told them and they said 'sorry about that ' and walked off. Nobody else came over. Eventually my brother ate the steak. My brother had to go to the bar to order dessert as nobody came back to us. I couldn 't have dessert all contained eggs so all I had was a very expensive plate of mushrooms, onions, salad and chips for €27. This was a reunion meal with my mum and brother as I was home from England before I move to NZ so it was sorely disappointing to experience such an awkward evening and to leave hungry, especially after reading such fantastic reviews.
