Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Slidell

Food was decent but the workers seemed confused and lost, we had to keep reordering things because they kept forgetting.

The triple meat plate was definitely worth it. Everything was very tasty and fresh. The restaurant itself was very clean and the parking was lite. Service was A-1 and the portion sizes were adequate. Extra BBQ was given when requested and everything was handled with a positive attitude! The servers definitely deserve acknowledgment as they went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was a pleasant one.

I am seriously disappointed in our order. We ordered the 3 meat plate (brisket, pulled pork and jalapeno cheddar sausage with bbq baked beans and mac cheese, a classic sandwich with jalapeno cheddar sausage and a side of the onion crispers. We ordered through door dash over a week ago and everything was so good we ordered again. This time the brisket and the pulled pork was so dry we threw it away. Disappointing.

This was my first visit. For starters I feel like the potential is there and could eventually be a 5 star place to eat but let me tell you why I am not sure yet. I placed an online order for pickup for an hour later(I promise they made the food as soon as I placed my order and it sat there for an hour. I live 3 miles from this location my food shouldn't be this cold. My 2 sandwiches were not made correctly. The other to plates were good except cold. Excellent food reasonably priced with good service. Worth a visit whenever we are in the area.
