Bella Vista Lounge Bar Restaurant

The restaurant is very close to the main square, yet the prices are quite good. It was easy to choose from a wide variety of dishes from the menu in English with photos. The service is very friendly, the servers speak English. The food arrived within half an hour and was very tasty. Despite the 35 C outside, it was pleasant air-conditioned weather inside, even close to the open front door. I can only recommend.

Tbh one of the worst experiences in terms of food I ever had in Skopje. The interior looks nice, there are large TV screens everywhere and the furniture is relatively new. But that’s about it in terms of what’s nice there. The waitress was unbelievably unfriendly, I was almost shocked. When talking she didn’t look at us, only replied with single words and gave us the feeling that we are not welcome at all. The food that I have chosen from the menu was initially not available so I had to go with tuna instead of steak. The tuna was the most disgusting piece of fish I have ever eaten, combined with cheap frozen vegetables from the supermarket. Overall a very underwhelming experience and I will not come again here.

The place looks ok but it doesn’t give the appropriate vibe. The food was not good, my salad was very poorly made, the lettuce was old and so was the meat. Also we waited for over 50 minutes for the food to arrive, which i totally absurd. Overall not a good place to have lunch, I would recommend Buenos Dias which is 50 meters from here.

Our waiter was so busy arguing with another waiter he stuffed up our order. When we eventually got the correct order the grilled vegetables were oily, salad nothing special, gnocchi very gluey and oily, the roasted vegetable risotto was nice. The fresh orange juice was a bit strange. The restaurant has an upmarket vibe so I was surprised the manager allowed the two waiters to bicker and argue so openly on the restaurant floor. Nice place with good food and reasonable prices. Right near the river in a center. Staff is okay, someone is friendly someone a bit arrogant. Removed one star because we smelled smoke so much being in non-smoking area, but I guess for local it’s alright:
