This is a fantastic spot for a tasty breakfast. The coffee could use a little improvement, but the food is absolutely delicious. Make sure to order the locavore omelette of the day and the tacos on your next visit. Personally, I highly recommend the omelette, but the tacos were also quite tasty. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Open Door:
The menu was a bit unclear. The tenderloin salad seemed precooked and cold. The horseradish dressing was too spicy and not enjoyable, and I was served serrano peppers instead of sweets. The Alaskan halibut was not great and the sauce was missing. The server did not know what type of salmon was being served. The waitress was pleasant. The overall experience was decent, but not worth the $80 price tag for a $40 meal. View all feedback.
We have made the reservation for a terrace cocktail table outside, but at the arrival said the sign that “by pending, whether” (rain in the weather conditions) they sat in the gallery. that was a unique experience with a cute atmosphere. the service was very friendly and professional and the meals were fresh and tasty. we also enjoyed two great cocktails. one of the best places to eat in sisters, safe.
Great service and great food. It was nice to see happy and friendly employees. Make reservations. We were lucky to get a table on a Wednesday night. Will definitely come back.
With the help of my Yelp app we discovered a real gem. The first encounter with a staff member was a bright spot in our day being received by her joyous smile and enthusiasm to be sure we enjoyed our experience. This was augmented by a terrific outside dining area with lots of art and creativity surrounding us. With all great successful restaurants, the Open Door offered a perfect small menu with eclectic choices for every palette without drowning me in options. It was clear the chefs vision was well defined. I look forward to returning Sunday for another enjoyable experience.
Get there on time or you will be waiting to be seated. The sea food lasagna was very good. I was not disappointed with any of my choices. Spent four nights in Sisters and look forward to returning.
Good restaurant in downtown Sisters. Food, drinks and nice atmosphere. Unique outside dining area's. Fun town and clean. Busy for annual Quilt show and Rodeo.
