Popped by here for desserts and had vanilla. I'm boring like that. Friend had waffles with salted egg ice cream and their salted ice cream was really close to the salt eggs feel. Feels weird to have have this savory taste as a sweet dessert. Place is crowded on a Sat night but could still find seats fairly easily. Great place to chill.

I cannot resist good waffle ice cream! I came to this restaurant just for dessert, and I can only comment on the two sets of amazing waffle ice cream I had. The lychee martini flavor didn't taste like lychee martini, but the other flavors we tried were fantastic. The rum and raisin ice cream was especially delicious. It's a bit out of the way for those without a car, as it's a short walk from the nearest Kovan MRT station. Parking can also be challenging, with limited options in the private estate. Despite these inconveniences, I absolutely love the ice cream here!

I was amazed at how much this restaurant has grown since my last visit a year or two ago. Back then, they only had one unit, but now they have taken over the corner unit as well, making them look massive. Despite my previous impression of them only serving ice cream, their menu is now six pages long with a variety of food options. The big sign board upfront advertises a 1 for 1 lunch promo, which includes their best-selling dinner items. I had the chicken cordon bleu, which was delicious but unexpectedly topped with nacho cheese sauce - surprisingly tasty though. My friends tried the super spicy seafood aglio olio and a pesto chicken cutlet, both of which were impressive. To end the meal, we highly recommend trying the salted egg yolk ice cream with a waffle. You won't be disappointed.

Ice Edge has recently expanded its space to include a neighboring unit, a testament to its growing popularity over the years. While originally known for its Mao Shen Wang (Durian) ice cream, the restaurant has since developed a diverse dinner and all-day brunch menu. Although I have yet to try their savory dishes, I was impressed by the tantalizing thin crust pizza being enjoyed by a fellow diner. I plan to order it on my next visit. During this visit, I opted for my usual Mao Shen Wang gelato in a large cup. Despite its unassuming appearance, the gelato was rich and flavorful, with each scoop delivering a burst of durian taste. Priced at $8.15, the quality of the gelato met my expectations. As I considered my order, I couldn't help but notice the wide variety of gelato flavors on display, each adorned with corresponding toppings. The presentation of the Cotton Candy flavor, with marshmallows, gummy bears, and pink cream, evoked a whimsical and delicious experience. Though tempted to try it, my loyalty to Mao Shen Wang remained firm. Just as I was about to place my order, a unique flavor caught my eye: salted egg. Intrigued by its unusual appearance, I requested a sample and found it to taste reminiscent of Mooncake. Ultimately, I stuck to my original choice of Mao Shen Wang and was delighted with my decision.

This cafe makes pretty awesome gelato in adventurous flavours. They are pretty well-known for their Mao Shan Wang gelato, which boasts a strong natural durian flavour that makes it seem as if you were eating real ice cold durian. The flavour is so rich and strong that if you get the Mao Shan Wang gelato, any other ice-cream you eat after that will seem pretty bland, so eat it last if you were to get a few different scoops of ice-cream. I have tried their lychee martini gelato, which remains one of my favourite flavours. The alcohol in the gelato comes through gently without overpowering the fruitiness of the lychee flavour. It is very refreshing and light, perfect for a sunny afternoon. For chocolate lovers out there, their premium dark chocolate is pretty fantastic too. Occasionally, they try out really weird flavours. I had a taste of bak kwa ice-cream when I was there once before, but they were just testing it out and never did they have it again ever since. They also do pretty nice waffles, which go well with their ice-cream.
