The menu offers some great options. My wife and I decided to try the ribs with one of their new sauces, and the meal was fantastic. The orange sauce with Hennessy was delicious! View all feedback.
What Peter B doesn't like about Tgi Fridays:
I’ve added an extra star for nostalgic reasons. To begin with, I’m not a fan of giving low ratings because it can negatively impact the business and its staff, but... View all feedback.
Food is bland, dry, and expensive. Ordered about $60 of food for 2 people was I was expecting good quality. I know it is a chain so not expecting top tier stuff, but was hoping for decent food given what I paid. Was disappointed. Wings were dry and lacking sauce, ranch and salsas tasted bland and out of a bottle instead of made in house. Spinach dip was ok but only a few spoonfuls and served with paper thin bland chips. Mozzarella sticks were good though. The drinks were better. They tasted good but given each drink is about $10, they could have given more. Most alcoholic drinks are 2/3rds ice. The few that don't come with ice, such as one of the ones pictured, are very small. That said, I must say that their drinks all tasted great, so that's a plus. Overall, spent over $100 on a few drinks and some food for 2 people. Much worse than I remember. However, the staff were all very nice, caring, and attentive and it was lovely to sit outside at night next to a heater.
It was an ok place. Our table was dirty until we asked our waiter to clean it. The food was ok. Lobster tail was a bit over cooked. The best part is that our waiter was attentive and asked about us multiple times. The brownie for dessert was too chocolate-y which is something I almost never say.
TGIFridays is a long-running restaurant chain with this particular location residing in the Tapo Canyon area of Simi Valley. Fridays is a more expensive version of Chili's or Red Robin's that also is a nice bar to go grab a drink. The happy hour is good. Perhaps even one of the better ones around, but it only applies to their beer. If you also want any decent food items, you'll have to pay full price on whatever you decide. They have revamped their menu recently, cutting down on the amount of food they carry while also amping up what they currently carry by adding more sauces or by going the Fat Sal's route and adding other food items to their already existing burger. This does well because it adds to the taste of the overall burger while also giving a fresh zing to the look of the same old burger. A definite recommendation, especially if you are with friends and wish to get a few happy hour drinks on hand.
It's perfect for game day multiscreens and games going at once. Separate sections if you want a peaceful booth for great food.
AMAZING service and Great food. Thank you so much Georgina D. for taking care of our large group (Simi Valley Corvette Club). Everyone was very happy with their food choices. We hope to be back again soon!
