Went back here for an anniversary brunch and they did not disappoint! We asked to share the meal and they brought us each our own plates. We skipped the mimosas this time but they are great here! View all feedback.
What Rob B doesn't like about Tandem Upscale Dining And Lounge:
Service is remarkably slow and insensitive to our needs. We were seated before other tables and served last. The staff was not at all concerned about this. Even after served, the care was blah. Expensive for the level of service. Food was good, servings were small for the price. The Landmark was Uber busy so we decided to try here. Probably will not return for brunch. Was grateful that they could fit us in even thoug... View all feedback.

I appreciate the nod to vegetarians. But I would much rather eat a simple-to-cook dish that tastes great than a tricky/difficult dish that tastes not so good. The Risotto was not a winner. I am absolutely convinced the chef HAS cooked Risotto perfectly on occasion. Just not on my occasion. Or maybe Risotto is just a dreadful dish?
Wow. One of the best restaurants in Arizona. I was unable to add the photos when I first posted this review; and I didn’t get a chance to show the deserts. All of the food was excellent, although the polenta served with the salmon was (according to my companion who had that dish) a bit dry. The deep fried shrimp that came with the steak was some of the most flavorful I’ve had in years. The short ribs were excellent and too big to eat in one sitting; and the butternut squash served with the short ribs were superb … instead of being a pile of puréed mush (as you find in one extremely popular restaurant in Tucson) these were just slightly more done than al-dente and so were tasty and gave some texture to the bite.We were, however, slightly disappointed in the deserts. While the french apple pie was superb all around, the creme’ brûlée and the pot-du-crème and the cheesecake (served in a glass jar) were not quite up to the same standards as the savory part of the meal. They were GOOD, but not superb. Worth eating, yes. But, not worth the same accolades as the savory part of the meal. And, I really enjoyed the clam chowder!
Visited here for our Anniversary dinner. Very plain decor, but clean and pleasant atmosphere. Great menu to choose from and our food was outstanding. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of our meals. We don't usually order dessert but did this time as part of our celebration. OMG..the Carrot Cake Waffle Sundae !! May go back just for that!
The food was really good. We had the mini wellington appetizer and it was amazing! We stuck to the sandwiches for our entrees because it was lunch. The patty melt was amazingly not dry, considering the burger was made from filet mignon, although I felt it was a little too greasy. The lobster roll was very good, although not authentic. I really enjoyed the truffle parmesan fries and my son liked the clam chowder. We also had dessert, which was pretty good. The raspberry sorbet was amazing, especially when we combined it with the flourless mocha parfait. Our service was good, the waitress was super friendly. The atmosphere did not match the food, but we will definitely go back to try the dinner entrees.
